Amazing fact today .... where since December 30th, I have painted at least once a day. A full 31 days month with a daily painting ... , luckely it is wintertime! Happily smiling here now!!
Okay, this is the fifth African painting where this time, I tried a lonesome African tree (not a cypress) against the shy sunset and with a complete rimpled reflection in some water, not a swamp! The canvas used was a 16x20" with black gesso covering the middle belt and showing some bushes. The technique for creating that is explained in one of my articles. I used liquid clear after drying and used transparent colors for painting over the black gesso.
Hardest to do perhaps the sky blending and sun which needed to be mirrored more or less equal. Easiest and nicest to do was the upper tree with its leaves. In all, 80 minutes well spent this morning and hope you will all love this one!
Wonderful job!
Thank you dear!

Aside I like to mention that I wanted this darker at first. My daughter (22), whom I consider to be a better artist then me although she does not paint with oil, thinks it is just WAW and one of the best I made. Who am I to in against that, right?! :) :) :)
